Patch 26.11 dropped on the live servers overnight, and on first read it looks like a tidy mid-cycle adjustment. On second read it is a jungle-pacing patch that quietly redraws the early game, plus one support change that everyone's mid-laner is going to hate within forty-eight hours.
Jungle: the four-target nerf
Lee Sin, Viego, Bel'Veth and Wukong all take direct nerfs. The Lee Sin change is small but smart: a small AD reduction on the early levels means his level-three invade is less of a snap decision. The Viego nerf is bigger — possession duration cut from four seconds to three and a half — and it is targeted at the snowball pattern where a Viego with first blood was effectively running solo queue. Bel'Veth gets a clear-speed reduction at full true-form, which is the change with the biggest pro-play implication. Wukong's nerf is, honestly, a tap on the wrist.
Cumulatively, the four nerfs slow down average gank tempo by an estimated two minutes — meaning the first dragon contest shifts later and bot lanes get to scale unmolested for slightly longer. Whether this is a good thing depends on whether you enjoy laning phase or whether you live for the gank-of-the-week clip on r/LeagueOfLegends.
Support: the Yuumi situation
Yuumi gets a buff. Specifically, her base shield value goes up by 8 at all ranks of W. Nobody, including any LoL professional I have asked about it, can explain why. Yuumi's pickrate in solo queue is fine, her win rate is fine, and her pro presence is functionally zero. The change is presumably aimed at the lowest skill brackets where she is reportedly underperforming, but the practical effect is going to be a measurable uptick in tilt on the mid-laner front in mid-Diamond and above.
Bot lane: the meta shift
Two ADCs get changes worth caring about. Jhin's W cooldown comes down slightly, which is a real buff at competitive level. Aphelios's chakram damage gets clipped, which is the one that determines whether he stays in pro pick-ban for the LEC Summer split or disappears for two months. Early data from the Korean ladder suggests Aphelios drops out of the priority tier; we will know more after the weekend.
On the support side, Rakan and Nautilus get small QoL adjustments that do not change the picture. Janna gets her shield duration tweaked downwards by about five per cent, which is the kind of change that only matters in pro because solo queue Jannas are already not optimising for shield uptime.
Items and runes
Nothing radical. Goredrinker gets a small AD buff that will not move it back to its old priority. Echoes of Helia loses healing on its second proc, which is the bigger change and almost certainly the death of the item in pro play. Conqueror's stacking pattern gets a tiny tweak that nobody outside Riot will notice.
What it means for the LEC Summer split
Three weeks until LEC Summer week one, and this is the patch the early rounds will be played on unless Riot ships an emergency hotfix. Expect: Viego pick-priority to drop, Bel'Veth to stay in the bin, Jhin to move up the bot-lane priority list, and Aphelios to disappear. Expect also, with depressing certainty, your mid-laner to log an angry forum post about Yuumi.
